The systematic installation of LEO SAT COURIER (LSC) as from 2010 will offer communication to the entire world, in particular also to areas outside conurbations which are not covered by other satellite systems or terrestrial networks in this quality and these multivalent services. The system’s innovative impetus is the creation of worldwide lucrative service in telematics and logistics by converging LSC with the navigation systems GPS, GLONASS and GALILEO. Combining the chosen LSC architecture and the integrated optical-electronical component of remote sensing called GEOSAT, LEO SAT COURIER can expand its service portfolio among others by a world-wide eco-monitoring and geo-information system. This autarkical satellite-based infrastructure offered by the LEO SAT COURIER system is predestined to become one of the world’s most important mobile networks for emergencies and disasters. From a cost, performance and service point of view, the LSC system constellation is without competition.
